What it is: A gentle-yet-effective hair lightener.
What it does: Our formula gradually lightens hair 2-3 shades for shimmery, natural-looking highlights. Blonde hair lightens and brightens, and dark hair reveals lighter caramel tones.

How to Use
1. On dry or damp hair, mist and comb through.
2. Get some casual sun or apply low heat with a blowdryer for 3-4 mins.
3. See visibly lighter results after 2-3 hours and full effect by the next day.
4. Wash out at your next shower.

How long does it last?
Results will stay light. Whenever you lighten hair, whether at the salon or with Sunbabe, it’s permanent because pigment is lifted from hair to create a lighter shade. Sunbabe lightens gradually over a few uses, so results are in your control. Continue use to lighten up to 3 shades!
How do you compare to other brands?
There are key differences between us and other brands. Sunbabe includes violet pigment to counteracts brassiness. Sunbabe Solar Hair Lightener is also slightly stronger and includes quality ingredients that support your hair during lightening. We omit ingredients commonly found in other methods of lightening, including alcohol, parabens, sulphates, phthalates, metallic salts, aluminum and ammonia. We are also proudly 100% cruelty free, vegan and made in Canada.
Will it damage my hair?
Our formula acts as a gentler alternative to conventional hair bleach. Sunbabe lightens hair gradually to avoid stressing out strands and is buildable over a few uses to avoid going too light too quickly.

Yes, Sunbabe will lift the dye from your hair to help to achieve a lighter shade.
What if it's bleached?
Yes, Sunbabe safely and effectively lightens bleached hair. Both bleached and natural strands will lighten 2-3 shades over a few uses.

I purchased the hair lightener and the blue toning mask. I typically highlight my own hair and have to do it every 4 to 6 weeks. I have light brown hair naturally, and I have always loved the look of natural sun highlights. My hair was becoming really dried out from having to highlight so often so I figured I’d give this a shot. I can’t believe it actually works! The first few times out in the sun I kind of sprayed all over my hair and then brushed through, but it kind of highlighted even my roots (I prefer more of a balayage look) so now I spray it into my hand and I just go Around my hair with my fingers, selecting pieces or areas to highlight. It works in the sun, so I like to sit out there for about 30 minutes. The blue mask has to be one of the best toners I have ever used and I use that about two times a week. This has been an amazing transformation from having to use bleach on my hair!!
I wish I were exaggerating when I say that a hair product has so much power, but this one really did it for me.
Since I was a teenager, I've used other hair lighteners like sun-in, the sun bum brand, and just lemon juice, which I used to think were all good ways to lighten my hair in the summer, but they always ended up turning orange and nasty. For reference, I have dark dirty blonde hair that looks like an ashy, mousy brown sometimes.
Last summer, I sprayed this Sunbabe on my hair and combed it through twice a week for 2-3 weeks. My hair completely transformed into a dreamy, dimensional, beachy blonde that I don't think hair dye could have ever achieved. I really didn’t expect this to work so well, but wow, so impressed. Lightens hair (no orange, even on darker hair), including grey hair. Very gentle and makes hair feel softer. Highly recommend!
